Summer Camps

For decades, Norman Bird Sanctuary has welcomed hundreds of campers to our award-winning Summer Camp each summer. Our age-appropriate and innovative camps offer a unique blend of hands-on learning, games, animal encounters and team building. Camp groups utilize our outdoor classrooms and are held in small groups with caring, enthusiastic, and professional Teacher Naturalists. Check back for Summer 2025 dates.

Fledglings and Goslings Summer Camp

Ages 4 to 5 (MUST be 4 years old and toilet trained by June 1, 2026)

Main NBS Campus

$395 Non-Member, $345 Member | Week Two (includes July 4 holiday) $316 Non-Member, $276 Member

Through imaginative play, sensory observation, nature exploration and discovery, Fledgling campers experience fun and engaging activities that promote creativity, place-based learning, and compassion and respect for nature and others. All Fledgling sessions are full days, from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and do NOT include a beach day

Ages 6-11 (MUST be 6 years old by June 1, 2026)

Main NBS Campus

By honing their observation skills and obtaining greater knowledge of the natural world through first-hand experiences, Nature Day campers develop a deeper connection with their natural environment. Daily explorations, experiments, crafts, games, and more spark curiosity and wonder.

Ages 8-11 (MUST be 8 years old by June 1, 2025)

Coastal Education Center at Third Beach

$395 Non-Member, $345 Member | Week Two (includes July 4 holiday) $316 Non-Member, $276 Member

At our Coastal Education Center (CEC) and Third Beach campus, campers ages 8-11 experience the seashore through a naturalist's lens. By investigating the marine environment and coastal habitats, understanding the creatures and plants that live there, and learning about local coastal ecology, campers are enriched with a deeper knowledge and respect for our oceans and shorelines.

Scholarship Forms

Norman Bird Sanctuary strives to serve everyone in our community, regardless of financial circumstances. A limited number of full and partial scholarships are available. Awards are based upon need and the number of spaces available in camp programs. All information will be kept confidential.
