Norman Bird Sanctuary is determined to engage the community’s youngest naturalists with the environment and natural knowledge to foster a hands-on, child-centered exploration of our beautiful campus. Guided by skilled teacher naturalists, participants will experience holistic growth through adventurous play and structured risk-taking.

Join us for educational, fun, individually-designed Private Hikes, which offer members and visitors the exciting opportunity to meander the trails with a knowledgeable NBS Naturalist by their side.
Scout Programs

10 to 17 years old
Our 300+ acre classroom provides the perfect venue for your troop’s investigation of the natural world. Our programs, including exciting overnight adventures for Scout groups, are designed to help Scouts complete badges and other goals!
