Get ready to embrace the magic of the winter solstice surrounded by nature in a special edition walk at Norman Bird Sanctuary.
Experience the quiet beauty of the winter landscape on a special guided walk that blends nature observation and seasonal reflection. Explore how local wildlife adapts to the shifting light and colder days and reflect on what this transitional season offers in return.
Guiding our exploration, TerraCorps Land Stewardship Coordinator Bella Villanuava, as she shares insights into recent trail-camera sightings and the behaviors of the wildlife active on our property this time of year.
We will also be joined by Reverend Anne Bolles-Beaven, Rector of St. Columba’s Chapel, who will bring elements of spirituality, gratitude, and wellness into the experience by inviting participants to slow down and connect more deeply with the land and season.
If weather allows, we will close the program by gathering around the warmth of an outdoor fire, offering a welcoming space to reflect and enjoy the quit light of a winter afternoon.
