You may have heard of forest bathing, but have you tried flower bathing?
Join us for a special immersive program: experience Norman Bird Sanctuary's pollinator meadow (the largest in Rhode Island!) through a mix of meditation, plant identification, and moderate hiking.Led by Norman Bird Sanctuary's Director of Conservation and Horticulture, Joye Whitney, this program begins with a gentle stroll along the edge of our grassland fields and culminates in a behind-the-scenes look at the recently restored 10-acre coastal pollinator meadow in full bloom.
You'll experience the vibrant blooms and learn about this landscape restoration, which supports native pollinators and reflects the Sanctuary's ongoing commitment to habitat conservation.Gentle stretching will help you unwind and connect with your surroundings before settling in among the wildflowers for a relaxing 20-minute guided meditation. Breathe deeply, slow down, and experience the sights, sounds, and serenity of the Sanctuary in full bloom overlooking the ocean and Sakonnet River on the horizon.
