Step outside with friends and family and get some post-Thanksgiving exercise along the trails!
With a panoramic view of the ocean, Gardiner Pond and Narragansett Bay, the Hanging Rock Ridge offers one of the most beautiful and scenic viewscapes on Aquidneck Island.
Together with a Norman Bird Sanctuary educator, hike through the forest and along the Hanging Rock Ridge while learning about the geology of the region, the most recent glacial activity in southern New England, and the formation of the Hanging Rock and Red Fox Ridges.
Please note this hike can be challenging: the terrain of Hanging Rock is uneven and steep in places. Please be sure to call the front desk if you are uncertain about your ability to participate in this hike.
