35th Annual Birds & Breakfast

Sunday, May 21st

35 Years! This beloved springtime tradition continues in 2017 at Norman Bird Sanctuary. Generations come together to celebrate spring, the birds who migrate north after a long winter, and the beauty of flowers erupting from the thawing earth. White Horse Tavern Executive Chef, Richard Silvia, cooks up a scrumptious breakfast prepared with organically grown ingredients donated by local farmers and markets. Eggs with salmon, Mellon Skewers with Mint, Oven Roasted New Potatoes, Yogurt Parfaits and a table filled with fresh homemade breads, muffins and croissants are a few items on the menu; this is not your pancake breakfast!

11th Annual 5K Run, Walk and Kid’s-Run in honor of David Leys, Jr.

Saturday, June 17th

2017 marks 11 years that the Norman Bird Sanctuary has held this increasingly popular race on Father’s Day weekend.  With a route that brings participants past some of the most breathtaking scenery in the state, it is no wonder that it was voted “Best 5K” by RI Monthly magazine.
